For more than a hundred years, scenic beauty and great summer and fall weather have attracted people to the Lenox area. And, the close proximity to the great cities of the Northeast make this area easy to get to. Lenox is less than 140 miles from both New York City and Boston. Located ten minutes north of the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90), Lenox can be reached from the Boston area in about 2 1/2 hours, and from the New York metropolitan area in about 3 hours. Two close-by airports offer scheduled service on major airlines: the Albany, New York airport is less than an hour away; the Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut is about 1 1/2 hours away. Two interestate bus lines serve Lenox: Bonanza (1-800-556-3815) and Peter Pan (1-800-343-9999)
