A Wedding - Willa + Mike | The Mount

This wedding makes my heart smile. I spent the morning at a beautiful little Bed and Breakfast watching the ladies work their magic. Hung with the guys at a local brewery and got to live out a real live fairytale. This wedding had so many DIY elements. Everything was so perfect. Willa’s Mother grew all of the flowers for the table tops. She even made the cake! Willa’s best friend made her STUNNING headpiece while Willa wrapped all the boutonnieres. I am so just in love with this couple. I wish you the best life ever. You are so so wonderful.

” The endeavor of making our wedding day a true reflection of our love and happiness, stemmed from the desire to include everyone there in our inner life together and have our family and friends become one. We wanted everyone to have special insight into our love and excitement as well as the closeness we have with our families.

This was especially important because we are from different countries and many of our guests had to travel great distances in order to attend our wedding. To individualize the day many of the important and special wedding details were carried out by family members or close friends and we strove to mix traditions from both the UK and the US. Mike and I met in Grenada during school we did all the tables as islands in the Caribbean -unfortunately we haven’t been to all of them, but to a few. our head table was, of course Grenada.

The heirloom amaryllis were grown on my parent’s sun porch and will gloom year after year –these were given as gifts to the guests and will be planted in our parent’s gardens. My best friend made my flower-crown and my mum made and decorated the wedding cake.
Special care and attention was paid to many of the details but really in the end it was the love and support of everyone there that made the day so special. ”
